Christy's progress continues to remain on schedule. She will continue to recover from the surgery in the ICU. Once she is ready, she will receive a brace fitted over her stomach and back that will allow her to sit up. This will prepare her to begin physical therapy. She will remain at Deaconess hospital for several days yet.
Please pray for Christy and Randy as they consider the best spinal rehabilitation center for Christy. Fortunately, they are receiving quality counsel from a variety of sources about the available options. Thanks for your continued thoughts and prayers.
Christy,
ReplyDeleteI am so glad the surgery went well. I am thinking of you constantly. I have stayed away from the hospital because I know you need to rest. Of course, I will be there in a heartbeat if you feel like seeing me. You would be tickled at me posting this comment, because you and I always discuss how we are not very computer literate, however, I am trying. I am so glad you were able to see the kids a couple of times. I am sure they brightened your day. I am praying every day for your recovery and quick healing. I have faith that your rehab will be much quicker than normal. Your inherited good genes, positive outlook, wonderful family, good friends, and your faith in God will see you through. I love you very much.
Your friend,
Angela Hammelman

ReplyDeleteHello Christy and Randy, I need to introduce myself since we have never met. My name is Randy Allgood and my wife's name is Tina. We became aware of your accident thru Missy Patterson, Jeff Patterson is Tina's nephew. Missy called us trying to find out some information about the Shepard Center in Atlanta. We are way too familiar with Shepard since Tina spent 3 months there about 12 years ago. She was injured in a car accident and is now a C-5/6 quadriplegic. I wanted to let yall know that we have a detached inlaw/guest house at our home and that your family is more than welcome to stay in should you decide to come to the Shepard Center. We live about 45 minutes from Shepard. I just wanted to extend this offer to you guys because we really do know what you are going thru and we know every little bit helps. Meanwhile we are praying for you and wish you the best. You can get our contact info from Missy. Take Care.
